Alejandro Gonz\u00e1lez Gerwig was born on May 7, 2007 in Salzburg, Austria. At the age of three <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>he began piano lessons with his parents, Christine Gerwig and Efra\u00edn Gonz\u00e1lez Ruano, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>both concert pianists who graduated from the Mozarteum in Salzburg.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Since the age of five he has won several national and international competitions, such as the <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Steinway in Hamburg in 2015 and 2019, the Bechstein 2016, the Henle, the German national competition <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Jugend musiziert, the international piano competition in Wiesbaden, the international competition in <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Villahermosa, the international competition for young people in Essen and others. He performs in halls such <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>as the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Philharmonie K\u00f6ln, the Philharmonie Essen and the <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Beethoven Haus in Beethoven’s birthplace. He has been invited to give concerts in Bonn, <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Jena, Monheim and Aarhus (Denmark) and Bergen (Norway). In 2016 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>he went on tour in Mexico, performing in Guadalajara (Teatro Degollado), Morelia <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>(Conservarorio de las Rosas) and Tijuana (Cecut).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>

In 2018 he made his debut with the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra with Mozart’s concerto for three pianos <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>with his parents under the baton of Ricardo Casero. Alejandro has also been invited several times on <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>German television, including on the German edition of „Little Big Stars“.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>

Together with her sister Valeria, she offers concerts in social projects for children in public schools in Nepal in 2019 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>

In 2019 he entered the Precollege of the University of Music in Cologne with teacher Prof. Fabio <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Bidini, specializing in piano.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>

In 2020 he was invited several times as a little Beethoven at the Bonn Opera and other <\/span><\/span><\/span>Beethoven-related events. On 16 December 2020 he was invited to the grand gala “ <\/span><\/span><\/span>Beethoven Night“ of the Beethoven Orchestra in Bonn, which was broadcast live on radio and <\/span><\/span><\/span>television and listened to and watched by an audience of several million people.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>

In 2021, he won first place in the Beethoven \u2013 Bonnensis competition in Bonn, in addition to winning the <\/span><\/span><\/span>special prize for the best interpretation of Beethoven’s work, being the first in the history <\/span><\/span><\/span>of the competition to win both prizes in the same competition, and he was interviewed by Deutsche <\/span><\/span><\/span>Welle in Spanish. This interview caused a sensation throughout Latin America. Alejandro has been invited <\/span><\/span><\/span>to make podcasts on German radio in broadcasts to bring children closer to music. <\/span><\/span><\/span>He was also interviewed by Telemundo Miami.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>

In 2021, she won first place in the Jugend Musiziert competition in Germany in the <\/span><\/span><\/span>piano duo category with her sister Valeria Erandi, achieving the highest score of all <\/span><\/span><\/span>participants from Germany. The duo also received several special awards, such as the <\/span><\/span><\/span>special prize of the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben and the special prize for the most successful duo of the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Bechstein Foundation.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>

In 2022 he makes his European orchestral debut with the Edward Grieg Concerto with the Bergische <\/span><\/span><\/span>Symphoniker and conductor Alexander Rumpf in Cologne<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>

In October 2022 he won first prize at the Bechstein solo piano competition in Berlin.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div><\/div>

In 2023 he won first prize at the Jugend Musiziert competition, first prize at the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Van Bremen competition in Dortmund, first prize at the Bechstein piano duo competition in Berlin <\/span><\/span><\/span>and the special prizes for contemporary music (Ligeti) at the Beethoven Bonnensis and Van- <\/span><\/span><\/span>Bremen. He is also awarded a scholarship from the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben foundation in 2023 <\/span><\/span><\/span>to participate in the International Piano Festival in Malaga.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>

In October 2023, he was admitted to the solo pianist course at the <\/span><\/span><\/span>Cologne University of Music at the age of 16, being the youngest student in Germany to study high school with the <\/span><\/span><\/span>teachers Anthony Spiri, Gesa L\u00fccker and Fabio Bidini. He has also taken master classes with <\/span><\/span><\/span>Alexandre Tharaud, Jorge Federico Osorio, Leif Ove Andsnes, Pascal Rog\u00e9, Alexander Kantorow, <\/span><\/span><\/span>Zlata Chochieva, H <\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00e5 <\/span><\/span><\/span>vard Gimse, Anthony Spiri, Enrique B\u00e1tiz, Polina Leschenko, Jeremy Rose, <\/span><\/span><\/span>Herbert Schuch, Gesa L\u00fccker and Dina Parakhina. The pianist Jorge Luis Prats follows his career <\/span><\/span><\/span>with great interest.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/div>
